It's So Lucrative Being Green

There is a continual whine from the AGW/Climate Change fraternity that accuses the sceptics of being paid by ‘big oil’. We don’t hear too often that there are huge amounts of money being made in the ‘trading’ of carbon.

Deutsche Bank is one of the ‘beneficiaries’ and they have been hard at work to discredit anybody who threatens their investment.

Terence Corcoran’s piece in the Financial Post is well worth the read and following the trail via David Henderson’s report in the same paper, is likewise rewarding.

The well-rehearsed arguments are old hat now but the fact is that the green arms of the big banks and businesses are willing to pay out money to hire AGW proponents to traduce their opponents in order to protect their investment – it’s not just ‘big oil’.

Oh, and do drop in on The Global Warming Policy Foundation; Gerald Warner is in a nicely cynical mood.
